The dark side of history

What historical event fascinates you the most?

Thomas Jefferson wrote "all men are equal"

While owning 600 slaves himself

Winston Churchill saved the world from Hitler

but starved millions in Bengal India

Karl Marx wrote about workers and

he himself did not have a job

Ayn Rand attacked the US government welfare

but lived on US government welfare

Albert Einstein was the smartest man but failed to be a good father

and

Volkswagen was a family car company started by Hitler

These things make me think that will our idols also have a dark side

and one more thing

it looks like we are in a time loop

one example :-

1914-start of world war 1

2014- starting of Russia-ukraine conflicts
